Generally, the genus appendicula are tropical orchids found from India to the Pacific islands in warm to hot conditions. They are little cultivated and consist of between 60 to 130 species. They are fern-like and bear insignificant dull coloured tiny flowers on short inflorescences.
This plant was photographed at Orchid de Villa, a private farm onl 11 acres of land. A nursery for hybrids cover 4 acres of flat ground and the rest is undulating rainforest. I walked 3.5 hours during my visit. I will return for close-ups when time permits.
