Flickingeria fimbriata

Flickingeria fimbriata

There are about 75 species in this genus, found in tropical Asia and Australasia. It is an epiphyte with a creeping rhizome, or with branched aerial stems ending in a pseudobulb of 1 node, 1 leafed at the apex. The inflorescences arise from the base of the leaf. Apparently, the flower lasts for a day only.
